Surfline.com tribute coverage on Sean Collins

We cannot imagine how people kept up with local surf conditions and news of the surf world before Surfline.com, the website founded by Sean Collins. Sadly, Collins died last month. He was honored with a paddle-out in Huntington Beach this weekend.

From an LA Time article on the tribute, “When asked recently what he would tell novice surfers today, Collins, according to surfline.com, replied: ‘Follow your passion, try to be a really good person and a good judge of character and then just surround yourself with a great team and really good people. Add lots of luck and all kinds of great things can happen!’ ” More coverage on Surfline.com.

Beach Yoga

For the past few years, we have been loving our beach yoga class taught by Brad Keimach. He teaches right on Santa Monica beach every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Hearing the waves crash and seeing the occasional dolphin while holding Warrior One is pure bliss — and perfect for surfer girls. The best part is the class keeps us in great shape even when we can’t get in the water to surf. If you are in the Los Angeles area, please join us.
